Overview:
Join Virginia Housing and help make a difference as a Senior Development Officer.
This important role evaluates multi-family loan requests and makes financing recommendations to further Virginia Housing’s mission and strategic priorities. The ideal candidate will possess a solid grasp of multi-family real estate finance and development fundamentals, as well as energy and interest for cultivating additional skills. Virginia Housing’s rental housing loan programs serve low to moderate income populations through financing new construction, adaptive reuse, acquisition, and substantial renovation of multi-family projects.

To be successful in this role you must possess:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Real Estate, Finance, Urban Planning or related field.
- Several years of experience in multi-family real estate finance, affordable housing, or commercial development.
- Demonstrated experience in underwriting, project management, and negotiation.
- A valid driver’s license.
The ideal candidate would also have experience in:
- Affordable housing programs including Low Income Housing Tax Credits.
Virginia Housing requires associates to live and work within the Commonwealth of Virginia. This position reports to our Innsbrook office in Glen Allen, VA.

Hiring Range: $106,816 - $138,858
