Responsibilities:
ROLE OVERVIEW
Cognizant is growing its capabilities and looking for a Senior DevOps engineer who is responsible for developing, deploying, and maintaining software applications and infrastructure using various tools and methodologies.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- DevOps profile who can Design, develop, and maintain the CI/CD pipeline for Docker / Kubernetes-based applications on Azure.
- Collaborate with development teams to understand application requirements and implement automated build, test, and deployment processes
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (IaC) practices using tools like Azure CloudFormation or Terraform to define and handle Kubernetes infrastructure
- Supervise and improve CI/CD pipeline performance, reliability, and security
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the CI/CD pipeline, build failures, deployment errors, etc
- Strive for continuous improvement and build continuous integration, continuous development, and constant deployment pipeline (CI/CD Pipeline)
- Encouraging and building automated processes wherever possible
- Excellent troubleshooting knowledge in DevOps environment.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE
- Proven ability of 7-10 years in software development, deployment, and operations.
- Excellent troubleshooting knowledge in DevOps environment.
- Web Server Knowledge – Apache tomcat management and applying security best practises
- Good hands on experience in Linux/Windows operating systems.
- Knowledge on Azure DevOps server. Handling code, pipelines and releases in it.
- Having a good knowledge in Git
- Configuration and leading SQL server DB
- Good Knowledge in scripting languages like shell and python
- Knowledge in Ansible would be added advantage
