Description:

SR. DIRECTOR PROJECT MANAGEMENT –

  • Required to speak Mandarin
    We are looking for an experienced Sr. Director of Project Management to plan, budget, oversee, and document key projects and manage a team of experienced Sr. Project Management professionals. The right candidate will have experience managing project teams in a fast-paced environment and also have experience with Tier-1 OEMs. Experience with vacuum coating &/or plasma processing equipment is required. Experience with risk mitigation plans & copy exact protocols is preferred.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Senior Project Management or Director roles managing complex semiconductor, vacuum coating &/or plasma processing equipment projects
  • Master’s degree in electrical engineering preferred
  • Required to speak Mandarin
  • Must have proven experience leading a team of Senior Project Management professionals across multiple locations
  • Must have proven experience working with Tier 1 OEMs in Equipment, Mobile, or consumer electronics domain
  • Experience in leading multi-site, multi-disciplinary teams of technical experts, process, HW, FW, SW engineers (team sizes > 20 people)
  • Experience in PVD, PECVD, CVD and/or plasma etch equipment is required Experience with control systems, in-situ and ex-situ metrology is a strong plus
  • Experience of full product life-cycle management from concept, introduction plan, development and test to customer introduction, maintenance and change management
  • PMP certification is strong plus
  • Proactive, assertive attitude, flexible and results driven
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership, time management and analytical skills
  • Must have experience with standard Project Management tools. Knowledge of Critical Chain Project Management a plus
  • Self-motivated and deadline driven with a “Can do” attitude. Open minded and creative
  • The qualified candidate will be detail oriented, able to handle multiple projects simultaneously, extremely professional, and customer service oriented
  • Up to 50% travel required to visit different Project Management sites to work with the Project Managers and manage local resource

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Sr. Project Management Professionals and coordinate and lead their daily activities to ensure that Projects remain on track and deliver on time
  • Manage projects through steering our multi-site cross functional engineering teams consisting of Product Managers, Technical Experts, SW, HW and equipment engineers. If required provide procedural and technical guidance and ensure that sound engineering practices are followed.
  • Create and execute project work plans including risk mitigation plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
  • Successfully initiate, plan, execute and close all project deliverables as committed
  • Ensure project requirements documents and engineering drawings are prepared and maintained in accordance with copy exact change management protocols.
  • Publish project plans and schedules as needed
  • Ensure the schedules of the various constituencies involved are coordinated, and the multiple sub-project plans are consolidated into one master project schedule for project tracking
  • Track project timelines and costs
  • Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities
  • Supervise Project Managers who manage the day-to-day operational aspects of projects. Review & approve decisions regarding project scope and resolution of issues.
  • Prepare, publish and communicate project status, including input into the designated tracking systems
  • Advise corporate management on all perceived risks to the successful completion of the project, and obtain decisions and approval from management on changes to project scope, design, schedule and cost.
  • Timely escalation of issues and risks to the project review board and taking responsibility to resolve project issues
  • Coordinate project team meetings
  • Coordinate and track dependencies for the successful completion of the project
  • Facilitate dispute resolution
  • Ensure that appropriate communication occurs regarding all user meetings and consultations with the customer
  • Communicate regularly with internal and external customers as appropriate in order to ensure the delivery of high-quality service and system support
  • Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
  • Report and escalate to management as needed
  • Manage the relationships with all stakeholders
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation
  • Ensure compliance to product policies and guidelines, quality targets and ams General Quality Specifications.
