Due to the clients being mainly on the East Coast, we are unable to hire on the West Coast for this role. The ideal candidate will live in the Midwest near Middelton, WI or Chicago, IL , etc. within driving distance for an occasional visit to our Middelton, WI lab.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented scientist, industrial hygienist, or health and safety professional to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluating the risks associated with laboratory analysis of a wide range of pharmaceutical products and delivery systems. You will work closely with various departments to support a comprehensive approach to risk management. You will join a dedicated team of EHS professionals and scientists who work every day to improve human health by bringing new medicines to patients.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, Pharmacology, Industrial Hygiene or a related field (Master degree preferred).
Experience in chemical risk assessment, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and processes.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
An ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Occupational Health and Safety experience.
Experience with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Familiarity with pharmaceutical testing methodologies and laboratory environments.
Familiarity with safe work practices for highly potent pharmaceutical products.
Familiarity with Occupational Exposure Banding (OEB).
