We are seeking a talented and motivated Senior BI Engineer to join our Reporting & Analytics Solutions team for a 12 months Fixed term role.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing business intelligence solutions using the latest Microsoft technology stack, including Power BI and Power Automate. You will work closely with our business delivery team to execute our roadmap and transform reporting processes into digital and sustainable platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion world-class business intelligence development utilizing the Power BI platform.
  • Execute on the RAS roadmap, supporting the build of new solutions and transforming current BAU reporting processes.
  • Provide thought leadership in the conceptualization, development, deployment, and continual improvement of AGL’s in-house reporting capability.
  • Ensure solutions are delivered within specified timelines to business users.
  • Implement validation, governance, and controls on reporting assets to ensure accuracy.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and utilize AGL’s existing technology stack to execute.
  • Document logic and methodology used in current and future reporting solutions.

Key Skills and Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack, including Power BI, Azure, and SQL.
  • Expertise in Power BI development and administration.
  • Proficiency in building Power BI reporting models and making DAX queries in Power BI Desktop.
  • Experience in developing visual reports, dashboards, and KPI scorecards.
  • Ability to connect to data sources, import data, and transform data for Business Intelligence.
  • Excellent analytical thinking for translating data into informative visuals and reports.
  • Ability to implement row-level security on data and understand the application of security layer models in Power BI.
  • Experience in integrating Power BI reports into other applications using Power BI service or API automation.

  • Proven experience in Power BI development and administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.
