Description:
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Solid experience as body part simulation (CAE) at an automotive OEM (preferred) or key Tier 1 supplier from 1st design reviews until Start of Production, continuously weighing technical parameters to develop the best solution possible.
- Education: Automotive or Mechanical Engineering degree with minimum of 3 years of professional body CAE development experience at an automotive OEM or key supplier, deep know how of automotive requirements & processes
- Experience in concept & serial part developments including engineering reviews, decision meetings and status reporting
- Excellent market knowledge of CAE methodologies & part solutions related to new processes, materials or structures.
- Strong pro-active attitude and innovative mind with a strategic, organized, but very flexible working style
- Analytical thinker with clear, output driven communication and strong deadline driven performance
- Sound knowledge of MS Office, Abaqus, hyperworks, Ansa/meta required, Nastran, LS dyna, CATIA V5 are beneficial
- Good level of English in speech and writing, in possession of valid European driver license B

Responsibilities:
- Performance improvement for body parts based on CAE analysis, examples: rigidity improvement of Body In White (BIW) for high performance cars (N-vehicles), crash analysis of advanced concepts, body stiffness for future mobility
- You are responsible for identify, set the targets and confirming CAE optimizations, considering cost, weight, performance
- Responsibility for part improvements from 1st concept until Start of Production (SOP), initiating and performing projects to achieve the targets, through reporting of your simulation results to all involved parties (chassis, Ride & Handling etc.)
- Attendance of assembly & testing trials related to your part developments: judge performance & solve potential concerns
- Study EU market from suppliers & competitors (benchmarking) to make body recommendations for our future vehicles
- Report European body innovations through your solid network of industry experts, suppliers, conferences, start-ups & institute visits and judge these solutions on cost, weight, performance towards Hyundai management
- Continuously report progress of your part developments to EU/Korean management and other team (chassis, crash etc.)
