BAE Systems Engineering Development is seeking a training administrator to support the Engineering training needs across the ES Sector.

  • Work with the Engineering Training Manager who oversees the needs across ES Engineering and delegates duties to the training administrator
  • Administration within the iLearn learning management system, analyzing iLearn assignment issues, building courses and scheduled classes, Lunch and Learns, Tech Talks and other special sessions as required with focus on US Defense Engineering and support to other ES Engineering groups
  • Maintain the postings of ES University College of Engineering content and updates to the catalogs, as well as the Engineering CM repository for course materials
  • Work with the Business Area Engineering Leadership Board representatives to create training, manage the training schedule and coordinate with the instructors to obtain and distribute training materials
  • Coordinate with vendor training providers to execute the planned annual schedule of classes and coordinate purchase orders and/or check requests to pay vendor providers
  • Ongoing coordination with internal subject matter experts to schedule and deliver internal Engineering training classes
  • Partner with Engineering Finance lead to ensure expenditures for vendor provided training remain in allocated budget
  • Coordinate with Engineering tool vendor training providers and Engineering Leadership Boards to schedule software tools training classes as needed
  • Address ongoing training inquiries and requests for support from the Engineering staff
  • Participate on the Functional Training Working Group (FTWG) meeting representing Engineering, act on any requests and participate on teams as needed, e.g. learning management system upgrade, training policy and procedure reviews, etc.
  • Oversee and control the annual budget for Engineering pre-career programs
  • Maintain training credit balances for Engineering software tools, ensuring managers approve the use of credits
  • Keep metrics of all training classes held; maintain a configuration management area of Engineering course materials; oversee feedback from post class surveys and raise any issues to the attention of the course owners/instructors and Engineering Training Manager for action
  • Maintain regular reports out of iLearn for compliance to assigned required training
  • Regularly communicate with personnel who have assigned required training that is overdue/expired to ensure compliance
  • Assist and backup with regular audits, AS9100, CMMI, DCAA, customer, etc. as well as corrective action responses
  • Distribute materials, as requested, to participants in the Engineering Development pipeline programs
  • Lead and/or participate in special projects as assigned by the Engineering Training Manager and/or Director, Engineering Development

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

  • 4+ years of experience with Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working with stakeholders to design and deliver training programs.
  • Experience designing and developing training materials
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office tools, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
