We are currently seeking a Senior Field Service Technician to join our HBS NT team. Reporting to the Field Service Supervisor, your focus will be to service customer sites with a focus on EACS, CCTV and Alarm systems, to maximize customer satisfaction and minimize customer site downtime by providing exceptional technical support.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Experience as Security Technician or Electrician, customer facing and/or similar.
  • Electrical experience: - Basic knowledge of electrical diagrams and electrical switching.
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Good communication - both verbal and written.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision.
  • An ability to work under pressure.
  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
  • Ability to obtain NV1.
  • Valid driver’s licence.
  • Ability to be on call, work a rotating roster when required.

Responsibilities:

  • Service and maintenance of Honeywell and third-party equipment (training provided).
  • Day to day servicing and maintenance.
  • Commissioning of pre-installed security equipment.
  • Configuration of security systems hardware and software.
  • Diagnose faults and repairs on security systems.
  • Software load and configuration of Honeywell EBI / DVM Systems.
  • Small to medium project installations including working with subcontractors.
  • Financial control according to previously agreed budgets and plans.
  • Development and maintenance of site-specific documentation and quality assurance information as instructed by Team Leader
