JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst IFRS for our Finance team. In this role, you will play a key part in our transition to the new IFRS standards, working closely with team members to implement new processes and optimize accounting practices.
Responsibilities:
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance or a related field. CPA is required;
- Minimum of 6-7 years of relevant experience, in a similar role focusing on IFRS, either in accounting firms or in corporations;
- Extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
- Understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles;
- We are looking for someone who is detail-oriented, with a meticulous nature, a passion for compliance, proficiency in managing long-term projects, and the ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously;
- Bilingual (French and English).

Responsibilities:
- Working with the Finance team on implementing new processes related to our transition to the new IFRS standards;
- Develop and maintain effective accounting and reporting processes to optimize team resources;
- Assist in financial reporting for GDI and prepare all related documentation;
- Conduct technical reviews of GDI’s financial statements quarterly and annually to ensure compliance with accounting standards;
- Research, review, and document new International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Present findings to the Senior Manager for their input and collaborate with internal team on implementing these standards;
- Analyze and evaluate complex transactions. Collaborate to determine appropriate accounting treatments.
- Occasionally propose adjustments to preliminary agreements to achieve more favorable accounting treatments for the company;
- Responsible for documenting position papers, memos, and official records regarding accounting issues, analyses, and conclusions.
