What You Will Do
The Sr Financial Analyst – Costing leads Standard Costing processes for the global supply chain network. They operate in a matrix environment where they’ll be known throughout the organization as the Costing subject matter expert for the new, state of the art cloud-based Oracle ERP system. Key responsibilities include:
- Annual cross-functional Standard Cost development and ongoing system maintenance throughout the year for the following inputs: material purchase costs, budgets, production hours, resource rates, bill of materials (BOM), production routings, FX Rates, lot sizes, etc.
- Month end close support plus ad-hoc analysis and reporting for sub-processes.
- Inventory and production analysis which may include inventory valuation reporting, issue remediation, production job and PO/Receipt variance analysis, excess/obsolete inventory analysis, profit eliminations, product line assignments, inventory adjustments, etc.
- Guiding local teams in identifying risks, process gaps, and implementing improvement opportunities.
What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in cost analyst or similar roles.
- Proficiency in cloud-based cost accounting software with experience using Oracle Fusion being highly desirable (other systems acceptable).
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and cost accounting standards.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel working with large datasets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
- Quick to jump into the data to remedy issues with complementary ability to step back & explain the full process to less-technical parties.
- Ability to influence and guide others in the organization on policies, procedures, and best paths forward.
