Description:
We are in search of a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our client’s FP& A team southwest of Madison. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and involves significant interaction with all departments within our organization. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will contribute to our company’s success by supporting financial performance, strategic initiatives, and conducting thorough data analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the analysis and evaluation of financial results at various levels, including department, store, and company-wide, to identify risks, opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Utilize your skills in data analysis and visualization tools to deliver insights by integrating data from diverse sources to influence business decisions.
- Support the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts to drive financial results.
- Communicate and present financial results and forecasts to leaders, ensuring reports are clear, understood, and include assumptions and dependencies.
- Prepare ad hoc analyses for leadership team members using advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Consistently review existing processes for potential improvements or efficiencies and investigate current expenditures to identify cost savings.
- Utilize your experience in project management and business systems to establish and improve processes.
- Deliver executive-level presentations that effectively summarize key insights for leaders.
- Support financial planning processes through strategic plan, financial plan, and monthly forecast processes.
- Utilize your analytical and organizational skills to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas
- Knowledge and proficiency in using Data Analysis Tools and Data Analytics
- Experience with Business Systems and Accounting Functions
- Familiarity with Budget Processes, including Budgeting and Forecasting
- Ability to analyze Financial Statements and perform Corporate Financial Planning
- Experience with Annual Forecasts
- Proficiency in Data Visualization
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
