Sr. Financial Analyst

We are in search of a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our client’s FP& A team southwest of Madison. This role offers a long-term contract employment opportunity and involves significant interaction with all departments within our organization. As a Sr. Financial Analyst, you will contribute to our company’s success by supporting financial performance, strategic initiatives, and conducting thorough data analysis.

• Lead the analysis and evaluation of financial results at various levels, including department, store, and company-wide, to identify risks, opportunities, and provide strategic recommendations.
• Utilize your skills in data analysis and visualization tools to deliver insights by integrating data from diverse sources to influence business decisions.
• Support the development of strategic plans, annual budgets, and monthly forecasts to drive financial results.
• Communicate and present financial results and forecasts to leaders, ensuring reports are clear, understood, and include assumptions and dependencies.
• Prepare ad hoc analyses for leadership team members using advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Consistently review existing processes for potential improvements or efficiencies and investigate current expenditures to identify cost savings.
• Utilize your experience in project management and business systems to establish and improve processes.
• Deliver executive-level presentations that effectively summarize key insights for leaders.
• Support financial planning processes through strategic plan, financial plan, and monthly forecast processes.
• Utilize your analytical and organizational skills to synthesize large quantities of data, identify trends and drivers.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or related field
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Excel Formulas
• Knowledge and proficiency in using Data Analysis Tools and Data Analytics
• Experience with Business Systems and Accounting Functions
• Familiarity with Budget Processes, including Budgeting and Forecasting
• Ability to analyze Financial Statements and perform Corporate Financial Planning
• Experience with Annual Forecasts
• Proficiency in Data Visualization
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field is preferred
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
