Job Description
The Senior Financial Consultant provides information, analyses, and consultation to internal and external stakeholders. This position assesses the total cost performance of benefits, products and services and develops recommendations for improvements or enhancement to support Prime and client strategic imperatives. This position will maintain and develop analytical models and will collaborate with Prime’s Strategic Business Units (SBU’s).
Responsibilities
- Provides complex client trend analysis, recommendations, modeling and consultation; consults with and presents outcomes of analyses to account teams and clients
- Acts as the client’s financial champion; establishes direct client relationships alongside Client Success with strategic business leaders in Pharmacy/UW/Actuarial/Product
- Partners with SBUs to provide total cost management; analyzes complex trend drivers, financial Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reports; provides recommendations with SBU partners to drive comparative selling, product adoption and trend management
- Provides benefit design solutions; collaborates with SBU’s to enhance modeling, reporting and methodologies
- Contributes to the conversation of client opportunities to proactively promote cost savings and revenue enhancements; assists with the monitoring and adoption of programs
- Supports sales and retention of new and existing business through the Blue groups with KPIs and financial insights
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Finance, or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; HS diploma or GED is required
- 5 years of experience in pharmacy benefits management, reporting and analytics, benefits consulting, healthcare, financial services or related field
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without need for work visa or residency sponsorship
Additional Qualifications
- Advanced troubleshooting skills, including in-depth client data research, focusing on trend drivers
- Subject matter expert in one or more areas within the industry (pharmacy trend, health plan benefits, etc.)
- Ability to coach and mentor others
Preferred Qualifications
- Pharmacy Benefit Management experience
- Experience conducting complex analysis on large sets of pharmacy, claims, medical, and/or financial data
- Intermediate experience using analytic tools, including familiarity with SAS, SQL programming, Tableau, etc.
- Previous experience in a client facing, consultative role
- Project/program management experience
Minimum Physical Job Requirements
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Reporting Structure
- Reports to Manager or Director in the Consulting Analytics department
Potential pay for this position ranges from $85,600.00 - $128,400.00 based on experience and skills. Pay range may vary by 8% depending on applicant location.
