DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • Demonstrated expertise in architecting comprehensive frontend systems, focusing on overall system design, scalability, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with Javascript, Typescript, HTML, CSS and frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Familiarity with RESTful API as well as modern front-end build pipelines and tools.
  • Experienced in modern dev tools, process and methodologies
  • Good communication skills – particularly the ability to discuss timelines, design concerns and provide helpful feedback to team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop new user-facing features
  • Responsible for helping define architecture standards, selecting appropriate technologies, and guiding the development lifecycle to ensure robust and efficient web applications.
  • Build reusable components and front-end libraries for future use.
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high quality code.
  • Optimize components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, user experience, product and analytics teams to identify needs, evaluate requirements, write specifications, and design and implement sophisticated software systems.
  • Bring a proven understanding of algorithms, design patterns, debugging and memory/performance optimization.
  • Create documentation and tech plans for new architecture/system designs.
  • Mentor fellow engineers from a technical perspective, and conduct regular code reviews to ensure high quality.
