Overview:
The Sr. HSES Advisor will assist with the management and the implementation of the Project Health, Safety and Environmental Management System and ensure compliance with the CBI Management System. Provide on-site and remote HSE support for Australian Projects and Facilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide local (Perth) and domestic Project HSE support in both site based and non-site based roles.
  • Support pre-contract HSE reviews and submissions for Australian opportunities.
  • Have a forward thinking, pragmatic and strategic approach to HSE in execution with a willingness to drive improvement initiatives
  • Assist in the preparation of various Management Plans, Risk Assessments (HAZID, SWMS) and overall preparation of Project HSE Management Systems as part of Project pre-mobilization, mobilization and execution phases.
  • Ensure all incidents are investigated in detail and entered into CBI Data Management System. Conduct reviews of incidents, investigations, reports, inspections, audits and site statistical data in consultation with the project Construction Manager to assist in the development of preventative strategies.
  • Manage HSE Hazard and Corrective Action Tracking Register to ensure actions have been completed and are closed out.
  • Provide technical input and coaching for Project team members during the development of task specific risk assessments.
  • Support the onboarding of employees and subcontractors through delivery of induction content.
  • Assist in the development and delivery of HSE training programs and provide in-field coaching to help further educate workforce.
  • Conduct training GAP analysis of employee training attainment and that of positional needs.
  • Support project teams in the development of communication material for Toolbox Meetings. Attend these meetings, manage the collation and distribution of minutes of these meetings.
  • Prepare and submit all agreed HSE reports relating to CBI and subcontractor activities.
  • Facilitate Injury Management and Return to Work process for employees as required.
  • Must be a strong communicator and is able to positively engage with external stakeholders, Senior Management representatives and Project employees.
  • Conduct internal HSE Auditing across Projects and Facilities and support the District HSE Manager in the ongoing annual recertification to ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.

Qualifications:

  • 8 + years within the Energy Industry through all phases of EPCI project delivery
  • Minimum Diploma OHS.
  • Certificate IV Training and Assessment.
  • 8+ years HSE experience on construction projects (greenfield and brownfield experience favorable)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant statutory regulations.
  • Training in HSE practices including:
  • Hazard Identification, Risk Assessment and Risk Control,
  • HSE induction/education practices,
  • Working at height and confined space entry,
  • Experience in completing incident investigation and reporting.
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills at a high level are essential.
