Description:
EDUCATION:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration or related field of study. MBA or Master’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of eight (8) to ten (10) years of progressive HR experience required, with at least five (5) years in a Business Partnership role.
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES:
- Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information.
- Energetic and positive personality/style that takes pride in ownership. Collaborative, results oriented, and an engaged pragmatic problem solver who can contribute to the bottom line.
- Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team-based environment and matrix organization.
- Must have solid understanding and/or experience supporting a manufacturing environment.
- Must have solid business acumen and understanding of a variety of functional areas within the business. Must be able to balance needs of people within the framework of the business needs of the company. Solid project management and process-oriented mindset.
- Must have the ability to get work done through others by managing and developing a team of two HR Generalists.
- Must have the ability to work in a fast-pace, diverse, dynamic environment in an autonomous fashion.
- In depth understanding of state (CA) and federal employment regulations.
Responsibilities:
Oversees day to day human resources related activities, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of services and resolution of issues on behalf of the employees. Work with the appropriate Legrand Entity staff to investigate and resolve employee relations issues as well as provide local oversight and management of wage and salary programs, health & welfare plans, performance management programs, rewards & recognition programs, and training/development opportunities and various other centralized employee programs. Assure that all policies, practices, and actions comply with all applicable provisions of both Federal and State laws and Legrand policy. Administer human resources services, programs, and processes to attract, develop, and retain qualified employees to meet the business requirements of the company.
