Sr Instrument Sales Representative – Genetic Testing Solutions – North England (inc North West, North East, Nottingham)
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Sr Instrument Sales Representative, your main responsibility will be to drive sales for Real-time PCR and Capillary Electrophoresis instruments, kits, and consumables in a Clinical/Diagnostic environment, including new product releases. You will work closely with the Sr Manager to implement sales strategies and tactics to achieve sales targets within the clinical customer base. Your expertise in clinical sales, particularly in selling regulated products in a CE-IVD and IVDR environment, will be essential for success in this role.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Achieve the agreed sales target
- Increase the install base of Thermo Fisher Scientific Instrumentation within the sales territory plus consumable business
- Collaborate with local sales colleagues and sales manager to secure business opportunities
- Drive business expansion in partnership with Support, Sales, and Market Development teams
- Establish and maintain reference sites as required
- Engage in discussions with various parties to reach mutually beneficial agreements for complex deals, continuously assessing efficiency and strategic alignment.
- Coach sales colleagues and facilitate knowledge transfer
- Conduct sales forecasting and coordinate activities with the sales manager
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- An academic degree (BSc, MSc) or equivalent experience in Life Science
- Solid knowledge of Sequencing and Real-Time PCR technologies
- A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in sales and account management
- Strong interpersonal and relationship development skills
- Excellent communication skills, including social media proficiency
- The ability to establish short and long-term business objectives
- Knowledge of the clinical customer and marketplace
- Fluency in Danish is preferabl
