Description:

EDUCATION

We require a High School Diploma or equivalent experience; however, a college degree is preferred.

EXPERIENCE

  • 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of personnel and customers.
  • Proficient in operating handheld scanners and performing data entry.
  • Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Strong organizational skills to successfully implement multi-tasking and meet due dates.
  • Ability to work independently at customer sites, which may include environments where chemical-based allergens are present.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and bump hats.
  • Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently, and potentially up to 50 pounds, including the operation of pushcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply Thermo Fisher Scientific’s or customer’s inventory/order management systems for on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, chemical tracking, and backorder processing.
  • Pickup and delivery of hazardous waste and inventory packages within a laboratory environment.
  • Sustain and maintain stockroom inventory to ensure seamless operations.
  • Follow strict work processes as defined by our written procedures.
  • Conduct chemical barcoding and tracking.
  • Assist with performing lab audits.
  • Listen to customer concerns and effectively address issues with the objective of resolution within an established timeframe.
  • Proactively communicate with supervisors regarding any customer concerns or potential problems.
  • Engage in process improvement activities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
