Description:
EDUCATION
We require a High School Diploma or equivalent experience; however, a college degree is preferred.
EXPERIENCE
- 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably within a laboratory setting or services.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, with strong verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English, with a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various levels of personnel and customers.
- Proficient in operating handheld scanners and performing data entry.
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office suite.
- Strong organizational skills to successfully implement multi-tasking and meet due dates.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites, which may include environments where chemical-based allergens are present.
- Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements, such as lab coats, coveralls, facemasks, hairnets, safety gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe shoes, and bump hats.
- Physical ability to lift, push, and pull 30-40 pounds consistently, and potentially up to 50 pounds, including the operation of pushcarts, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
Responsibilities:
- Apply Thermo Fisher Scientific’s or customer’s inventory/order management systems for on-site program replenishments and disbursements, receiving, put-away, stock rotation, cycle counts, order entry, expediting, customer service call resolution, product returns, chemical tracking, and backorder processing.
- Pickup and delivery of hazardous waste and inventory packages within a laboratory environment.
- Sustain and maintain stockroom inventory to ensure seamless operations.
- Follow strict work processes as defined by our written procedures.
- Conduct chemical barcoding and tracking.
- Assist with performing lab audits.
- Listen to customer concerns and effectively address issues with the objective of resolution within an established timeframe.
- Proactively communicate with supervisors regarding any customer concerns or potential problems.
- Engage in process improvement activities to optimize the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
