Your opportunity

  • Ensure the team meets or exceeds agreed service levels
  • Ensure pro-active application monitoring is conducted daily.
  • Ensure support calls raised by users are allocated and resolved, effectively.
  • Co-ordination of regular communication of issues, both with IT and via business communications
  • Be a ‘Gatekeeper’ for the production environment through regular reviews with product owners.
  • Strive to drive down IT incidents through root cause analysis and championing of technical debt requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Must have skills

  • Experience of working within a support or IT project team in the Asset Management.
  • Experience of supporting Order and Execution Management systems such as Charles River, Bloomberg TSOX, Liquidnet, Market Axess and Tradeweb.
  • Ability to liaise and articulate issues, concepts and ideas at all levels.
  • Good communication skills, dealing with clients and colleagues at many different levels.
  • Good time management / planning
  • Hands on approach with a high degree of Business & Technical understanding.
  • Questioning and analytical ability, able to form conclusions and make recommendations from issues that arise.
  • Proficient technical understanding of the principles of database, network, and application structures.
  • Sound problem solving and investigative skills.
  • Experience in querying SQL Server or Oracle databases
  • An understanding of software testing methodology.

Nice to have skills

  • Solid understanding of Business Information tools, such as Reporting Services, Cognos, Qlikview, Bamboo and Crystal Enterprise.
  • Proficiency in Active Directory, JIRA, PowerShell, Excel VBA
  • Understanding of project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall
