Caterpillar Inc. seeks Sr. IT Analyst Technical Infrastructure at its facility located at 2120 West End Avenue, Nashville, TN 37203.
Job Description:
Execute the design, build, and deployment, and continue to maintain IT infrastructure using appropriate and trending technologies for the Google Cloud Platform. Establish a secure CloudPlatform foundation with defined controls and baselines. Provide consulting on best practices for Google Cloud, AWS, and Microsoft Azure platforms. Deploy or integrate cloud technologies based on requirements gathered from customers. Assist customers with documentation, training, and usability efforts. Implement best practices for security, scalability, and cost optimization. Utilize Terraform to define and manage infrastructure as code. Develop and maintain automation scripts for routine tasks and deployments. Continuously seek opportunities to automate processes to improve efficiency. Monitor and analyze cloud usage and costs. Maintain clear and comprehensive documentation of cloud infrastructure and configurations. Promote knowledge sharing within the team and across the organization. Implement and configure monitoring and alerting for security purposes. Telecommuting: 2 days/week
Requirements:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, plus Four (4) years of experience as a Public Cloud Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) Hardware Infrastructure, Technical Troubleshooting, and Technical Writing/Documentation; (2) Technology Advising, Requirements Analysis, System Testing, and Systems Software Infrastructure; (3) Managing cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP; (4) Terraform for infrastructure as code; (5) Cloud certifications on either AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure; (6) Security best practices and compliance standards; and (7) Setting up pipelines in Azure DevOps or similar CI-CD tool..
