By joining our Personal Risk Services (PRS) team as a Senior IT Project Manager, you’ll play a key role in a high visibility, large-scale initiative that will transform the systems and technologies that power our personal lines business. You’ll leverage your deep technical and agile project management expertise to build relationships across business and technical teams, developing and guiding a myriad of projects from concept to completion as we modernize our tech stack and replatform the solutions that drive our business. As you do, you’ll guide agile ceremonies, develop and manage financials and related metrics for your projects, tapping into your organizational and technical expertise to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. Through it all, you’ll hve the opportunity to bring your ideas to the table, improving upon processes that ensure we’re always able to meet the needs of our business partners.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple and concurrent technical projects with a focus on greenfield software development as well as optimization and/or modernization of key business applications
  • Develop, implement, and manage project roadmaps to align and evolve with key business objectives
  • Serve as Scrum Master and Servant Leader to your teams, implementing and guiding agile processes that ensure successful project delivery
  • Draft and manage communications, documentation, and reporting mechanisms that provide both a resource repository and regular updates to key leaders and stakeholders
  • Develop, track and manage project budget, scope, timelines, and metrics for projects under your purveyance
  • Partner with your product owner to define value, ensure that the whole team delivers on that value, and inspire continuous process improvement
  • 10 years of IT project management experience required; insurance experience, specifically Personal Lines, experience is a huge plus
  • Deep technical background with managing application development projects from concept to completion
  • Able to establish and maintain interpersonal relationships with peers and management
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management, problem solving, decision making and leading by influence
  • Proven advanced experience with project management tools such as Clarity, Jira, Excel, and Power Point
  • Industry certifications including PMI, Agile, SCRUM are a plusBachelor’s and/or Master’s degree required

  • In Jersey City, NJ the pay range for the role is $101,000 to $172,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program. This range is specific to Jersey City, NJ and may not be applicable to other locations.
