Description:
DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a driven & broadly capable candidate to lead & grow the Software Development team as a pillar of Peak’s Digital Technology Development group. In this role, you will be responsible for Software Development at Peak, leading a project-focused team. This leader will need to integrate with the greater team to develop a broad understanding of Peak’s technical processes to guide their team effectively. The ideal candidate is motivated to architect solutions to improve or create what is needed, as well as recognize when the best solution is not a new feature or application. This leader is expected to support software development needs ranging from team leadership & performance management, planning & organization software work, DevOps needs, and supporting infrastructure planning. You will be expected to collaborate with the other leaders of the Digital TechDev group to create & implement a development methodology that is optimized for business’s needs. Support and collaborating with you will be the 3 other teams of the Digital TechDev group: AI Dev, IT, and Manufacturing Automation Dev.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
- 8+ years’ experience in a software environment Proficient in Python/MySQL/Postgres
- Experience in app development for on-prem applications
- Practiced in a modern software development methodology (Agile, DevOps,etc.)
- General project management experience
- Experienced in all phases of application development (i.e., concept-design-implement-support) even if it was not all one project
- US Citizenship
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master’s degree or higher in Software Eng/Comp Sci/Similar or Combination of Software-Centric degree and another technical degree or minor (Science or Eng)
- Experience in or supporting a manufacturing environment
- Knowledgeable/experienced in HPC/Distributed compute/CUDA Manufacturing environment
- Cloud application development experience
