Johnson & Johnson is searching for EMEA Sr. Legal Counsel, located in Aachen, Germany!

Advises on legal matters of and compliance requirements within their area of subject matter expertise so that the organization’s business policies, practices, and procedures are in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support and advice to the EMEA region on a wide range of legal matters, including commercial contracts, regulatory compliance, intellectual property, and litigation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Cooperate closely with internal teams to understand legal obligations and efficiently implement company strategies.
  • Assists with training on topics related to the area of expertise.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support decision-making and ensure compliance.
  • Support the development and application of policies, procedures, and good practices.
  • Coaches and trains junior colleagues in techniques, processes, and responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We would love to hear from YOU, if you have:

Education:

  • Fully-trained German law degree (Juristisches 2 Staatsexam) from an accredited law school.

Experience and Skills:

Required:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience practicing law.
  • Proficiency in German and English.
  • Solid understanding of EMEA legal regulations.
  • Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and provide sound legal advice in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines.

Preferred:

  • Experience working in the healthcare or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Previous experience working in a multicultural environment.

Other:

  • Requires up to 10% domestic and international travel.
