We are looking for a talented and motivated Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI/ML Engineering Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine learning and a passion for applying these skills to enhance cybersecurity measures. This role involves developing and optimizing machine learning models to detect and prevent cyber threats.
This is a 1 year fixed term contract based in Cork, Ireland

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement machine learning models to identify and respond to cybersecurity threats.
  • Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs, security analysts, and engineers to identify and address complex cybersecurity challenges.
  • Optimize machine learning models for performance and scalability.
  • Collaborate with Cybersecurity Engineers and Analysts to integrate machine learning models into cybersecurity platforms.
  • Conduct experiments and evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics.
  • Assist in the creation of technical documentation and reports.
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and advancements in machine learning and cybersecurity.
  • Support the Principal Machine Learning Engineer in research and development activities.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in machine learning, with a preference for cybersecurity applications.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
  • Good understanding of cybersecurity principles and threat detection techniques.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Azure Databricks and AzureML.
  • Certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or similar.
