- A strong leader with experience working with a distributed team
- Strong mentoring and coaching skills
- Proven experience managing and leading engineering teams
- Good analog circuit design and analysis skills
- Strong communications skills. Able to summarize complex problems for executives as well as drill down to details with architects and engineers
- Strong analytic and problem-solving skills
- Must be a self-starter and self-motivated
- Previous experience on high speed circuit design would be a benefit.
- Experience in silicon debug, verification and characterization
- Good interpersonal/teamwork skills

Responsibilities:
THE ROLE:
AMD seeks a passionate, collaborative leader with strong technical skills and the initiative to motivate an expert team. You will manage a Silicon Engineering group and innovate with internal teams and external partners to create the next generation of computing technologies. The candidate would be expected to have extensive experience in the design and verification of analog circuits and systems, and be familiar with layout of high speed circuits on small geometry nodes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a high-performance engineering team
- Nurture talent and grow team capability
- Lead team, meet schedule commitments and provide strong support to customers
- Collaborate with multi-functional leaders to drive AMD’s success
- Provide input on circuit design topologies for next generation SerDes
- Participating in design reviews of other circuits both for identifying potential issues and also from a learning perspective.
- Communication with SerDes circuit team members at other sites for the purposes of sharing ideas.
