Description:

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Collaborate with HR leaders across business units to build and maintain effective employee relations programs and standard methodologies.
  • Lead employment investigations for challenging ER cases, supporting HR in conducting formal procedures like disciplinary and grievances.
  • Advocate for the ethics hotline and coordinate associated programs. Facilitate positive employee relations training and LR training initiatives.
  • Provide thought leadership on embedding a true continuous performance improvement culture, including review and management of updates to ER/LR Strategy, site risk assessments, and ER culture assessments.
  • Conduct site assessments to identify root causes colleague concerns and provide recommendations to improve employee relations at worksites. Conduct periodic reviews of HR-related policies and practices and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Analyze business unit’s ER data, identify trends, and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Collaborate internally with Functional/Regional and Country HR leaders, Employment law, Compliance teams, Internal Audit, and other internal collaborators to achieve the above accountabilities.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrable track record to influence and provide solutions to senior management on employee-related matters.
  • Extensive experience conducting and leading corporate investigations of confidential workplace complaints.
  • Ability to work independently and in a group setting with little direction and without direct supervision.
  • Experience in developing and delivering training on a variety of employment issues.
  • Confirmed ability to independently identify and analyze issues and problems and to develop and influence appropriate business solutions and plans of action.
  • Ability to run analytical reports and leverage data to identify and diagnose root cause elements.
  • Partnership skills, enabling the individual to establish influential partnerships working with peers and senior leaders.
  • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion and integrity.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to changing business conditions and needs.
  • Ability to multitask, work with ambiguity, and work across various teams.
  • High level applied knowledge of employee relations issues (including performance management), risk management practices, investigative practices, and employment law.
  • A BS in HR, or equivalent experience in labor/employee relations
  • Experience leading employee relations in union and non-union environments preferred.
