Position Overview
Are you a life-long learner, curious about the world around you?
Are you passionate about inclusion and the profound impact of global learning?
Are you ready to bring your unique skills to a mission-driven organization?
If so, we would love to welcome you to our global community!
The Institutional Engagement Senior Manager has the primary responsibility for developing and nurturing institutional relationships and promoting IFSA programs to the campus community including study abroad professionals, faculty, advisors, administrators and students. Since you are the primary conduit to our partners, an Institutional Engagement Sr Manager must maintain constant connection with the institutions in their portfolio, meeting with current partners to support their needs, developing proposals for portfolio reviews and approvals, sharing program and student data, and cultivating new relationships with the goal of increasing program use and the overall student enrollment in IFSA programs over time. This role also plays a critical part in strategic planning for the department, working closely with leadership.
A critical extension of the IFSA brand, given these are the members of IFSA who are face to face most frequently with the partners, Institutional Engagement Sr Managers consistently convey and represent the IFSA mission, vision and commitments (inclusive excellence, individualized learning, intercultural agility and enduring impact) as well as maintain a thorough understanding of undergraduate degree programs and the educational goals and higher education environment of our partners. Institutional Engagement Sr Managers are agile, creative thinkers who help institutions find solutions. They must be as comfortable talking with Ph.D. faculty members as they are with students, and they must be able to advise and influence regarding the holistic IFSA program experience.
The Institutional Engagement Sr Managers will work closely with IFSA colleagues, especially Strategic Marketing, Student Engagement, Custom and Collaborative Programs, and Academic Programs.
The Institute for Study Abroad (IFSA) was founded in 1988 as a provider of study abroad programming for U.S. undergraduates. With student success in mind, the organization creates global learning environments designed to foster the development of critical perspectives, knowledge and skills essential for students to thrive in the future. Offering more than 100 programs in 19 countries, we draw upon theory and evidence-based practice to create a variety of program models and flexible academic options in alignment with the needs of partners and students. Our commitments to inclusive excellence, intercultural agility, individualized learning and enduring impact are present in every aspect of our programs.
Inclusion is a driving passion of our organization. We are committed to building a community where the thoughts and opinions of all team members are valued and contribute to our collective success, just as we build programs with the same focus.
