Description:

The Senior Manager of Manufacturing at Amgen is responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations. They manage the manufacturing team, ensure production meets quality and efficiency standards, and drive initiatives for continuous improvement.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of experience in pharmaceutical Manufacturing positions
  • 4+ years management experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or combination of education and/or years of experience

Responsibilities:

  • Build a culture of safety, quality and compliance throughout the manufacturing areas, driving awareness and execution reliability through improved performance
  • Coach and develop a team of Aseptic and Manufacturing Process Owners.
  • Build collaborative relationships with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of the site as a whole
  • Foster a culture of diversity, inclusion and belonging within the manufacturing team and the ADL site
  • Provide process support for the vial and syringe manufacturing areas, with the common goal of meeting the supply requirements from the manufacturing areas
  • Support a process for driving continuous improvements and sustained year on year productivity in manufacturing. Initiate and implement innovative and sustainable, plant improvement projects consistent with business strategy.
  • Support reliability improvement in the plant: Collaborate with the Manufacturing and associated teams on responses to issues that occur, through effective root cause analysis and implementation of appropriate preventative actions
  • Collaborate with the teams responsible for New Product or Process Introduction and Electronic Batch Records development to ensure robust processes are in place in manufacturing
  • Responsible for recruiting talented staff into Manufacturing and setting standards for their performance.
  • Project delivery for reliability and volume driven growth initiatives linked to site goals.
  • Develop, maintain, and justify the department’s budget
  • Provide direction on departmental and site priorities to deliver site strategy
  • Supporting and driving aseptic improvements in collaboration with the Amgen Aseptic Council.
  • Network representation and collaboration for the Amgen Dun Laoghaire site.
  • Audit inspection readiness for the teams areas of responsibility.
  • Other functions may be assigned.
