Job Description
The US Back Office Products team is dedicated to developing and delivering innovative technology focused on improving the restaurant experience for managers and crew as well as optimizing the management of cash and inventory on a daily basis.
The Senior Product Engineering Manager for Workforce Management products will be responsible for leading a team to drive technical direction and strategy of all applications responsible for restaurant crew scheduling, timekeeping, and end-to-end labor compliance in all US restaurants.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Software development experience, with knowledge of Agile software development process
- Exceptional partner and vendor management skills
- Strong communication skills with ability to explain complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders
- Good understanding of agile software development processes and McD deployment practices
- A passion for learning and figuring out creative restaurant technology solution to any given business problem
- A love of new technologies and the drive to find ways to implement better tools and processes to improve efficiency
- Strong ability to speak to, as well as collaborate with, engineers, project managers, corporate leadership, and partners
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and managing indirect reports to achieve interpersonal goals
- Highly motivated to learn, thorough, and proactive with a strong commitment to completing tasks; Proven track record to achieve desired results.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of relevant professional work experience, including people management
- 3+ years’ of proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Product Manager eliciting/defining requirements, crafting systems solutions, and managing business requirements
- 1+ years of experience with agile development methodologies
- Proactive, self-motivated, and accountable great teammate
- Experience with workforce platforms in a multi-location environment

Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the product roadmap for workforce management applications, with a focus on employee scheduling, labor compliance, and timeclock functionality.
- Collaborate on product vision and ensure alignment with business goals and user needs.
- Build, prioritize, and maintain the product backlog, ensuring that the most valuable and strategically aligned features are delivered.
- Work with stakeholders to gather and clarify requirements, translating them into user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
- Collaborate with vendors and legal teams to stay up to date with changes in labor laws and ensure that product features are updated accordingly.
- Understand and communicate business needs to the development team and ensure stakeholders are informed of progress and updates.
- Ensure scalability, security, and reliability are prioritized in the development process.
- Assist and be the subject matter expert on features and capabilities to development partners and other product teams to ensure alignment.
