Description:
POSITION SUMMARY:
Sr Manager, Site Services is responsible for defining and delivering the site support services strategy for our Thermo Fisher office in Budapest. This is a critical role for creating, maintaining and continuously improving a work environment, that is safe, inclusive, inspirational and compliant to all respective local regulatory requirements.
Implements policies, standards, services and programs, ensuring a high level of service, quality, timeliness and cost-effectiveness. The job holder leads the site services team and collaborates with a diverse group of internal and external partners.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong customer experience attitude, art of the possible balanced with effective and efficient solutions.
Proven technical leadership, adaptability, analytical and problem-solving skills, decision making, troubleshooting, team management, and social skills.
Evidence of successfully working within a matrix-managed environment with proven track record to influence and lead change.
Experience with budget management and financial oversight.
Proficiency in vendor management, including contract negotiation and management.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, complex, and rapidly growing/changing work environment with the skills to influence, lead and collaborate with people through personal and professional credibility.
Commercial business knowledge and orientation.
Excellent project planning and management skills, ensuring that cross-functional team members understand roles and responsibilities and key deadlines are met.
Excellent communicator in English.
Must possess adequate computer skills in Microsoft 365 Office applications.

Responsibilities:
Ensure appropriate work environment: Create and maintain a physical environment that supports the delivery of our performance ambitions and strengthens our workplace culture. Ensure that facilities, security and maintenance standards are met, and that health & safety regulations are adhered to. Coordinate the Site’s Business Continuity Plan. Assess, define and monitor required OPEX and CAPEX spend. Key functions include Facility Management, Reception, and Employee Health and Safety (EHS).
Strengthen our culture of inclusion and belonging: Identify and implement programs and initiatives to cultivate a culture of diversity and inclusion and strengthen our corporate identity and employer brand. Work in close partnership with our Budapest Site leadership team, respective internal partners and employee volunteer groups. Key functions include Employee well-being and Event management.
Car fleet management: Collaborate with Budapest Field HR and Total Rewards teams to shape and operate our Company Car policy.
Regulatory and statutory compliance: Ensure the safe, secure, and compliant operation of the office, adhering to all respective local legislations. Assist with audits to ensure complete, timely, and accurate responses to information requests.
Vendor management: Manage and rationalize site facilities and utilities contracts, including budget review, vendor analysis, contract negotiation, contract management to meet Service Level Agreements and required standards. Including but not limited to: Security/reception/office services, Cleaning, Catering, Pest control, Utilities contracts, Site maintenance and Office furniture.
Leading successful teams: Attract, develop, and empower a high-performing site services team that embodies our company’s 4i values – Integrity, Intensity, Innovation, and Involvement.
