Responsibilities:
- Work with team to establish strategy to engage with the supply base at a senior level to develop a plan in partnership to meet Thermo Fisher’s Supplier Responsibility expectations.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape cross-functional corporate priorities focused on global supply chain due diligence regulations such as German Supply Chain Act (lksg), and EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD)
- Under the leadership of the Director, Global Sustainability Supply Chain, help to develop and drive programs and projects to identify and address human rights and environmental issues in the supply chain.
- Lead a team of 3 to 6 colleagues.
- Operate as a leadership voice communicating directly with suppliers on key tasks and expectations as needed, with a polished and professional engagement style.
- Implement existing supplier engagement programs/projects to conduct due diligence.
- Aid in external reporting as required, delivering significant data and outcomes for CSR reporting and regulatory filings.
- Work and influence with the tangential supplier excellence programs including supplier risk, supplier quality, and regulatory supplier transparency initiatives where appropriate.
- lead the implementation of supplier engagement strategy and develop portfolio-level tracking mechanisms that demonstrate progress at scale against corporate objectives.
- Analyze, synthesize, and present insights from internal and external data aiding in the communication of program objectives.
- Works closely with key procurement contacts to share progress, develop dashboards, and intensify discussions when necessary.
- Provides input into budgeting and resource planning processes, and tracks project costs to target
Technical Responsibilities
- Tracks and monitors timely completion of action items and customer projects, plan vs. actual and report that progress as required
- Supplies updates to overall strategic plans, achievements, and timelines
- Detects, calls out and facilitates issue resolution and/or appropriate partner concern and address customer risks
- Finds opportunities to drive continuous improvement
- Understands procurement processes and work practices
- Category management exposure is a big advantage.
- Proficiency in PowerPoint, Smartsheet and Excel
