Job Description
This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Enterprise Products & Platforms (EPP) Team, focused on Learning products where our vision is to “Always be a… people led, product centric, future focused & trusted technology partner of choice”.
The Sr. Manager Technical Product Management is responsible for implementing and deploying new and innovative technology products that are leveraged globally, leading the execution of various products in our portfolio, primarily focused on our Learning platforms and expanding to additional products within the portfolio.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Center of Excellence for the Global People Technology – continued focus on the onboarding of global markets to LMS platforms. The Senior Product Manager will also be expected to utilize proven IT agile product management concepts and processes in close collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, team members, and various IT functions or overall technology portfolio strategy and the successful delivery of company technology products within their portfolio. Has a deep understanding of business goals/strategy and interfaces with the business, technology, other portfolio teams and product leaders to develop EPP portfolio strategies and approaches that maximize value for business partners. This position reports to the Director, Technical Product Management – Learning Technology.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape the transformation of EPP products and services to the entire McDonald’s environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or 8+ years relevant experience with a Master’s degree.
- Experience leading technical teams and Agile self-managed teams that manage a strategically important product and/or a suite of products.
- Experience in influencing senior executives (VPs, SVP, CxO), and setting expectations for major cross-functional initiatives.

- Excellent Leadership, including the ability to set clear goals and expectations, leading teams and partners through change, motivate and coach Product teams, identify and mitigate impediments to success, create a safe environment to learn, challenge, accept risk taking and a willingness to be wrong
- Broad technical knowledge in assigned domain area, including the latest ITIL technology trends or related methodologies
- Experience applying Product-centric methods and Agile ceremonies, best practices and lessons learned to optimize ways of working
- Highly experienced working collaboratively with a broad array of stakeholders to drive outcomes and solve complex technical challenges
- Excellent communication, presentation, story telling, negotiation, influencing, business acumen, and problem solving skills
- Strong innovation skills to identify, develop, and make improvements to ways of working, services, or products
- Strong critical thinking skills to address and solve the most complex business and technical challenges
- Experience applying data analysis and visualizations to present complex business cases and recommendations to executive and nonexecutive audiences, make informed business decisions, and facilitate continuous improvement

Responsibilities:
The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the Center of Excellence for the Global People Technology – continued focus on the onboarding of global markets to LMS platforms. The expectation is that this COE could serve as a model for other strategic, globally deployed initiatives. The Senior Product Manager will also be expected to utilize proven IT agile product management concepts and processes in close collaboration with business stakeholders, vendors, team members, and various IT functions.
- Management of team members and individual development goals
- Analyze insights & data, to identify problems and opportunities in conjunction with our business partners and Franchisee Owner Operator leadership.
- Partner with key stakeholders to build out product & market on-boarding roadmaps: Global People, Global Learning, Global & US Technology, Operations, and Legal teams
- Implement Deployment Playbook across the Restaurant Engagement Product portfolio activating products within markets and maximizing team efficiency, resulting in a consistent experience for on boarding new products to the markets.
- Managing L&D roadmaps – ensuring alignment with strategic vision. Align work with direct reports, business partners, and suppliers and on-going software releases to execute on vision, delivering the highest value features first and making calculated trade-offs.
- Actively manage the Product backlog for L&D initiatives
- Coordinating multi-product integrations required to deploy a seamless technology experience for the Restaurant Crew and Managers
- Work with internal teams, contractors, and vendor partners to test/deploy solutions
- Manage Stakeholder communications, serve as an escalation point for issue resolution, and manage vendor relationships.
- Liaise with Business Partners to develop business case and funding requests based on strategic vision of the Global Learning Products
