About the Role:
The treasury team is uniquely positioned in the center of processing Remitly’s global transaction flows, with responsibility over FX inventory purchases and delivery of funds to destination partners for our customers. The ideal candidate will possess the skills and experience needed to lead our ongoing efforts to build out and manage a scalable and efficient global treasury operations function. This person will lead our North America team and potentially grow it over time. You Will:

  • Optimize the full life cycle for treasury payments: creating, tracking, confirming approvals and settlement of all wire and transfer payments, including FX trade settlements
  • Manage daily customer funds cash pooling and funding decisions
  • Anticipate short-term borrowing needs to manage any facilities (LOCs, Bonds etc.)
  • Develop and maintain strong banking relationships to ensure delivery of appropriate and cost-effective global banking services and support
  • Assist in maintaining, monitoring, and improving a best-in-class set of operational policies to ensure a robust, internal control environment protecting assets and mitigating the risk of fraud
  • Ensure cash and treasury activities are compliant with regulatory guidelines and the company’s internal policies
  • Identify, recommend, and assist in implementing new bank technologies and enhancements, products, and services to improve cash operations

You Have:

  • We are looking for someone with 7+ years of solid global treasury operations and settlement experience in a multinational corporate setting
  • Broad experience across banking platforms, treasury workstations and/or ERP systems as well as experience leveraging machine learning or artificial intelligence for automation.
  • A team approach: will be a key player with building out new markets and will require collaboration across the organization
  • Strong planning, organized, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
  • Profession certification (CTP or CPA) a plus but not required
