About our Team
LexisNexis Risk Solutions is seeking a Sr. Marketing Specialist to join our Insurance marketing organization. This is a rare opportunity to join a dynamic, high performing team that supports the advanced analytics and data technology and development of key solutions for our Insurance business that improve and protect lives.
About the Role
The Sr. Marketing Specialist is responsible for developing and driving marketing strategies and programs for the U.S. Auto Claims team, as well as smaller cross-functional teams within the U.S. insurance organization. Job duties will include but aren’t limited to: keeping abreast of a dynamic market to understand trends, considering and applying market trends to strategic marketing programs, listening to key business stakeholders to understand specific needs and partnering with teams to collaboratively design thought leadership, lead generation and brand awareness initiatives that meet and exceed objectives. This position will report to the Sr. Marketing Manager for U.S. Auto Claims and Cross Markets and will work both independently and in tandem with the manager on key programs and objectives. This person will be a “Marketing Generalist” and decide, based on data, the business needs, budget and objectives, which strategies and tactics will best accomplish campaign goals. He or she will be supported by a Marketing Center of Excellence and collaborate with the functions within that team to bring campaigns to life.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven experience in creating content and messaging, which will be used in sales enablement materials, web pages, case studies, eBooks and a variety of other marketing materials. While this person does not need copywriting experience, strong writing skills and the ability to help craft and influence messaging is required. This person will need a keen eye for detail. He or she will review marketing collateral to ensure that brand standards are upheld, as well as ensure that copy and content will resonate with the audience and achieve objectives. This person will juggle aspects of multiple campaigns at different stages simultaneously, and thus, must have strong organizational and project management skills. Must function as an owner/leader in the role. He or she must be able to operate independently and work with minimal supervision. Should feel comfortable operating within a highly matrixed environment and seek to proactively procure answers and information to keep projects moving. Key job responsibilities include:

  • Creating high impact messaging and thought leadership content such as eBooks, infographics, white papers and more for web, social, blogs, video, print, etc.
  • Overseeing creative development of marketing materials and coordinating promotion activities with internal stakeholders, and external agencies/ vendors
  • Working with various stakeholders for go-to-market product launches including development of communications, materials and promotions
  • Tracking, analyzing and reporting marketing results per initiative
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • 4-year College Degree (preferably in Marketing, Communications or Business).
  • A minimum of 5-7 years working in marketing, communications or a related field.
  • Experience with information technology, data analytics and Insurance industry marketing experience a plus.
  • Experience developing campaigns and bringing integrated lead generation/nurturing, up-sell/cross-sell and processes to market
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Extensive experience in messaging and value proposition development
  • Extensive content marketing experience including the ability to create content for various mediums and supervise contract writers and agencies for desired output.
  • Experience in leading projects in their entirety and in handling multiple projects with strong project management
  • Experience in working in a matrixed environment with multiple stakeholders and partners
  • Experience in handling vendor relationships on all levels
  • Experience in using contact management systems, CRM and/or marketing databases
  • Experience with budgeting and planning processes
