Location/Division Specific Information: Pharma Services Group (PSG), the High Point, NC site focuses on gelatin-based drug delivery dosage forms (softgels). We offer extensive development and commercial scale capabilities for a variety of softgels technologies.
How Will You Make an Impact?
The Sr Material Handler position is a key role within Warehouse Operations, supporting shipping and inventory functions. As a Sr Material Handler, you will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth execution of the shipping process and maintaining accurate inventory. Your primary responsibilities will involve setting up trucks for shipping finished goods to customers, preparing outbound loads for shipment, and coordinating with business management, batch release, and planning teams to schedule weekly shipments. Additionally, you will assist in shipping samples to third-party labs for testing using FedEx or UPS. Moreover, you will contribute to inventory control efforts by managing inventory and conducting weekly cycle counting. In this role, your meticulous attention to detail and ability to implement effective shipping and inventory methods will be showcased. Furthermore, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional customer service and enhance warehouse operations.
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience is required.
EXPERIENCE:
- Required: Minimum of 2 years of work experience in distribution, warehouse, supply chain, or a related field.
- Required: Stand-up Forklift and driving straight truck (non-CDL) experience.
- Required: 2 years of experience using SAP and RF systems.
- MS Excel experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- Able to work independently and set priorities to meet deadlines.
- Possesses effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Holds a valid forklift license.
- Can meet DEA security clearance requirements if requested.
- Must be able to work overtime, including weekends as assigned.
- Ability to obtain IATA certification.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Able to handle chemicals, including hazardous materials, following safety protocols.
- Must be able to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds with assistance.
- Frequently stand or walk for extended periods of time and occasionally required to kneel, crouch, or crawl.
