Description:
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum three to five years of work experience with prior technical training in a specialized field and/or work experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions for various quality situations in fabricating and repairing equipment.
- Knowledge of general maintenance techniques and processes.
- High School diploma or GED required; equivalent experience will also be considered.
- Ability to stand, reach, pull, and push.
- Good eye, hand, and foot coordination.
- Ability to lift heavy, awkward items or equipment.
- Knowledge of shop math.
- Proven troubleshooting skills.
- Skilled in the use of a variety of electrical and mechanical tools.
- Forklift and other powered industrial equipment certification preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical schematics.
- Knowledge of applicable codes.
- Electrical, HVAC, or contractor certifications or licenses would be a plus.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect and repair mechanical and electrical equipment, plumbing, physical structures, electrical systems, and lights for defects or malfunctions.
- Repair and maintain production items using hand tools, air tools, mechanical and electrical tools, following blueprints, manuals, or building codes.
- Apply your expertise in Programmable Logic Controllers and CNC equipment.
- Demonstrate basic computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
- Perform maintenance checks and repairs on all industrial fork trucks, including propane and gasoline systems.
- Make and repair structures within the plant, such as steel shelving and wooden enclosures, and re-route electrical accesses as required.
- Implement regular maintenance programs for all plant equipment.
- Operate Tig, Mig gas, or arc welding equipment and assemble fabricated metal parts.
- Use industrial trucks to move parts or equipment to other work areas.
- Maintain specified records and logs of repairs and maintenance activities.
- Ensure a clean and safe work area.
- Perform other duties as requested by the supervisor.
