Overall, Purpose of this Job:
The role will be responsible for creating and executing strategic communications to support the business priorities for CEESAT, partnering with the GM CEESAT as well as working closely with the Head of MedTech EMEA Communications and the wider CPA team. The position will also work closely with all country GMs and the leadership team in the CEESAT region to provide counsel and timely recommendations to support communications needs and activities. This person will develop external and internal communication and public affairs strategies for multiple stakeholders, protect and enhance the reputation of MedTech and Johnson & Johnson in the CEESAT region.
Scope: CEE, South Africa, Turkey

The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

  • Closely collaborate and understand the needs of country and franchise leads in the CEESAT region and prioritize execution aligned to CEESAT business strategy. This includes proactive external communications and public affairs strategies for key platforms and specialties in alignment with local business goals, strategies and priorities for the entire MedTech organization.
  • Serve as go-to person and liaise with supervisor on critical issues/crises and matters concerning company reputation by following the company’s guidelines and tools. Act as the MT EMEA local point of contact for Business Continuity plan.
  • Effectively employ different internal and external media channels to shape the environment.
  • Develop organizational communications strategies to engage employees to achieve superior results. This includes providing strategic counsel and support to CEESAT leadership, franchises and functions on effective communications; developing and managing state-of-the-art internal communications tools; develop strategies to support change management initiatives, HR and enterprise programs.
  • The position requires a very flexible and adaptable attitude and ‘can do’ mentality, working across countries, functions and franchises to optimize communications impact. The role does not have extensive resources, so it will be critical to prioritize activities, show outcomes and find ways of providing templates and ‘self-serve’ options for wider comms requests.
  • Manage all project and budget management of external freelance and agencies network, where appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS

We’d love to hear from YOU, if you have:

Required:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree is required. Advanced degree is an asset.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in communication.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector as a plus.
  • Excellent command of the English language, knowledge of some local languages a must; multiple language skills considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the CEE region and culture is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated experience: planning, organizational communications, understanding of the media landscape, public relations, stakeholder engagement, issues/ crisis management, writing and storytelling skills
  • Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced and matrix environment
