As a Senior NPI Engineer, you’ll be pivotal in driving medical devices from development to successful market launches. You’ll work closely with program management and multidisciplinary teams to craft commercialization strategies aligning with technical and business goals.
Recognizing the uniqueness of each program, you’ll develop tailored commercialization strategies to meet specific client needs, ensuring that each approach balances technical success with business objectives. Responsibilities:
- Design and execute robust, innovative commercialization plans for cutting-edge medical devices, ensuring compliance and alignment with business goals.
- Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams and clients across R&D, marketing, regulatory, and quality departments, ensuring all commercialization strategies align with overarching business objectives.
- Lead and inspire cross-functional teams to drive timely and effective product design transfers, ensuring smooth transitions from development to market-ready solutions.
- Lead process verification and validation strategies, ensuring every product meets the high standards of excellence and regulatory compliance.
- Innovate manufacturing processes that meet client expectations, optimizing performance and efficiency.
- Partner with Program Management to craft detailed and high-level program plans, ensuring successful execution from concept to launch.
- Identify and conquer risks, proactively addressing any challenges that may arise during commercialization activities.
- Balance the big picture, understanding how strategies impact products at different stages of manufacturing while expertly communicating the trade-offs between technical and commercial considerations.
- Collaborate closely with manufacturing teams at every stage, from early-stage prototypes to full-scale commercial manufacturing, providing crucial support to ensure success.
- Ensure quality excellence, working with quality assurance to guarantee that all products meet the appropriate quality levels for their intended use.
- Own the process, overseeing process requirements’ collection, definition, and traceability throughout product development.
- Provide expert technical guidance, offering insights and direction from a commercialization perspective to support development teams.
- Drive strategic reviews, contributing to technical, design, and phase-gate reviews to evaluate all processes thoroughly.
- Stay ahead of the curve, keeping up with the latest innovations in the medical device field and incorporating relevant advancements into commercialization processes.
- Champion continuous improvement, leading initiatives that streamline processes, boost efficiency, and enhance client value.
- Elevate quality standards, adhere to and improve the Quality Management System (QMS), develop critical documentation, and train teams to ensure consistent excellence.
