Description:
We are seeking a Senior Operations Analyst – Team Lead in our Norfolk, Virginia or Cleveland, Ohio locations. This position is responsible for supporting and leading the Operations team in various complex functions such as account onboarding and setup, standardized reporting, transaction entry, performance and account reconciliation and reporting system maintenance. The team lead may be responsible for managing and overseeing Operations team members located in a different regional office location.
This position offers work from home flexibility of up to 2 days per week after initial training period.

Position responsibilities:

  • Act as lead SME and go-to team member for Operations team
  • Lead and drive departmental initiatives and communicates issues and areas of risk to Daily Production Operations Manager
  • Handle and execute complex departmental tasks and resolves time sensitive escalations
  • Assist with training and development of Operations Analysts
  • Take the lead on key Operational processes to ensure Operations cadence is functioning efficiently
  • Perform account setup and maintenance across portfolio accounting systems
  • Execute standard Operational transactions/processes utilizing standard procedures.
  • Manual account/performance reconciliation and transaction entry
  • Monitor client alternative investments and enters transactions across reporting systems
  • Assist with daily production activities and execute ad hoc requests
  • Interact with custodians as necessary to resolve discrepancies.
  • Utilize and follow departmental policies and procedures and recommend enhancements
  • Create and monitor new asset setups/classifications
  • Execute monthly and quarterly standardized reporting
  • Assist with data aggregation setup
  • Save and organize custodial statements and alternative investment documents
  • Process account closing and client offboarding
  • Document procedures as needed
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements:

Essential skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or related field required
  • 4-6 years of experience in financial services or wealth management operations
  • Knowledge and experience with Orion
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple requests and priorities
  • Ability to communicate and work well amongst cross-functional teams
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve complex problems independently
