JOB REQUIREMENTS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TECHNICAL, PHYSICAL)
- Degree in accounting or HR related field with five or more years of significant payroll experience.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws in SG.
- Knowledge of employment laws in ANZ, MY, TH and VN is an advantage.
- Previous experience in Workday, ADP Payforce and ADP Vista is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office in particular Excel.
- Strong collaboration skills required to partner with internal and external HR/Payroll/Finance professionals.
- High mental agility to solve complex problems.
- Quick learning ability to grasp new knowledge, skills and concepts.
- Strong adaptability in a fast pace working environment.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
- Responsible for maintenance and transmission of most complex payrolls in AP region which includes countries like Singapore (SG), Australia & New Zealand (ANZ), Malaysia (MY), Thailand (TH), Vietnam (VN) and Indonesia (IDN). Performs professional analysis and reconciliation of payroll related transactions impacting the financial statements.
- Partners with country HRBPs, external payroll vendors, HR partners of PEOs and Distributors to test on-going system upgrades and implementations that are integral parts of the payroll system.
- Responsible for managing all aspects of assigned projects within the Payroll department.
- Provide payroll vendors with accurate payroll data for main & off-cycle pay runs in accordance with the respective payroll schedules for the countries.
- Review and approve payroll preparation reports, payroll registers and tax filing reports prepared by external payroll vendors or HR partners in PEOs and CX Distributors.
- Upload bank files to create payment for transmission of salary to employees’ bank account.
- Ensure pension contributions are made correctly and timely in accordance to the local legislations in each country.
- Review and provide General Ledger reports to finance for journal posting.
- Lodge tax and pension with IRD and create payment to IRD in New Zealand.
- Lodge payroll tax and create payment to the respective tax authorities in the different states in Australia.
- Renew Workcover for employees in the various states in Australia and providing relevant payroll data for such renewal purposes.
- Upkeep payroll records/ reports for the different countries.
- Liaise with internal & external auditors for payroll audits by providing relevant payroll documents and information on payroll process.
- Perform professional analysis and reconciliation of payroll related transactions impacting the financial statements.
- Work with line managers to ensure rosters, timesheets and leave records are accurate in Workday TMS for SG Payroll processing.
- Maintain data integrity in payroll platform for SG and ANZ (ADP Vista & ADP Payforce respectively), for accuracy of payroll run.
- Furnish required data to payroll vendor in SG to assist with IR21, IR8A, NS Pay, Maternity & Childcare Leave Claim submission.
- Perform FY tax reconciliation with relevant tax authorities if applicable.
- Provide payroll data analytics for leadership’s review.
- Manage all payroll projects.
