EDUCATIONAL/SKILL REQUIREMENTS

The Sr. HR Generalist requires a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources/Business Administration/Healthcare Administration, or equivalent job/industry experience

  • Minimum of 4-6 years of experience as an HR Generalist or similar role
  • Extensive knowledge in handling employee relations issues, organizational planning & development, FMLA/leave administration, employment law compliance (FLSA, ADEA, EEO, ADA, FMLA etc.), performance management, employee development, corrective action, employee investigations, regulatory reporting.
  • Computer and Office 365 proficient
  • General knowledge of UKG HRIS database
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Professional Certifications highly desirable, i.e. PHR, CP, SPHR, SCP
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in Fort Lauderdale.

Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY & PURPOSE

The Sr. Human Resources (HR) Generalist is responsible for the human resources needs and implementation of best practices to support the achievement of corporate business objectives. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist performs administrative, strategic, and planning duties. in a rapidly expanding start-up environment. The Sr. Human Resources Generalist must be able to balance overall corporate needs, employee support and the ongoing operational needs of the company while maintaining compliance with all HR regulations. This is a ground floor position, working with our C-Suite Executive staff to create an unparalleled company culture, that offers unlimited professional growth and development!

POSITIONS’S ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are duties and responsibilities that the HR Generalist shall provide:

  • Employee Relations - Tracks employee corrective actions. Partners with the HR Regional Director to make recommendations to management team for corrective action & continuous improvement, responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment or discrimination.
  • Unemployment claim administration.
  • HR Policy Management - Partners with HR Regional Director to review, update, and communicate human resource policies, procedures, laws, standards and other government regulations. Act as SME for internal HR policy interpretation.
  • Comp & Benefit Administration – Facilitate FMLA process. Maintain FMLA recordkeeping & eligibility tracking etc., respond to WC claims & follow up with adjusters. Assist with employee inquiries, coordinate open enrollment process/communication where required. Distribute annual employee notices as required and benefits reporting requirements.
  • HRIS System & Reporting – Assists with data maintenance and integrity of the HRIS system. Runs reports routinely or as necessary to analyze data for ongoing HR Actions such as, Terminations, LOA, Merit Increases and Department/Location transfers.
  • HR Compliance – ensure employee files are compliant, maintain/review/update completed job descriptions.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws and regulations, and recommends best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist in the development and administration of various HR plans/procedures, and prepare and maintain the employee handbook
  • Participate in developing department objectives, goals, and systems
  • Recommend new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve department efficiency
