BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ years of experience in Product Management, or marketing strategy.
  • Able to travel at least 20-30% of the time.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering, or related field. An MBA or other advanced degree is advantageous.
  • Background in smart building automation, IoT, and a solid understanding of underling technology and how services fit into product strategies.
  • Experience working in both start-up and corporate environments preferred.
  • Knowledge and/or experience regarding management of SaaS, IoT technical products
  • Leadership skills to manage across functional teams.
  • Interpersonal skills for managing in a team framework.
  • Project management skills. A PMP is a plus.
  • Able to work from Atlanta office 3 days a week.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THIS ROLE

We are seeking a visionary Senior Product Manager focused on Marketing Strategy for our IoT based Abound product line in the smart building automation domain. This role sits at the intersection of technology, business, and customer experience, aiming to enrich our offerings with services that drive value for our customers. This person will lead our efforts in understanding why our products succeed or fail in the marketplace.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uncover the real reasons behind our products’ performance in the market using win/loss analysis. Understand the journey buyers take to make their decisions.
  • Develop and maintain a point of view on the competitive landscape for our products including market size, alternative offerings in the market, strengths and weaknesses. Advise on strategy to succeed against the competition.
  • Segment target markets into groups that share common problems. Prioritize and analyze these segments to identify the most attractive targets for your offerings.
  • Use your market knowledge to help sales align their selling process with the way the market wants to buy.
  • Lead cross-functional projects across various stakeholder groups and business units.
  • Work closely with customers and product managers to identify their needs and challenges, turning insights into recommendations and actions the team can take.
  • This role has a global focus and offers exposure to the diverse market of Abound. Including working with international clients, collaborating across different regions, or managing projects with a wide reach, the geographic scope provides a unique and enriching experience.
  • Buildings account for roughly 40% of greenhouse gas emissions. Be a part of the team solving this issue by removing data silos and implementing advanced technology in the build environment.
