Description:
- BS or BA in computer science, engineering, math, finance, or economics
- Program management or consulting experience in technology focused business
- Team orientation and willingness to roll up sleeves to solve complex, dynamic challenges
- Strong relationships building skills; experience managing stakeholders and partners to drive cross functional programs
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with different functional groups, developers, business owners, and senior business leaders
- Ability to collaborate with and effectively influence remote teams in multiple time zones
Cross-border programs (e.g. Amazon Global Store, Global Remote Fulfillment) are strategic EU 3P wide initiatives that allow for lower prices, faster delivery, and increased selection for all EU customers. With new legislations changing compliance landscape in Europe, this position will lead compliance to enable Pan-EU selection growth and mitigate the compliance headwinds in EU.
In this position the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a new Innovation Project for Amazon EU, accelerate our efforts in launching the Project which will disrupt the way we operate in terms of supply chain, CX, and cost to serve.
You will lead the end to end compliance for these models in EU across both Tech and non-Tech workstreams. You will be responsible for owning the design, budget, resourcing, coordination, and build the program support to manage new product compliance legislations for cross border programs across Amazon systems. This is a unique opportunity to manage a product and program setup that has large impact for Amazon and customers. You will coordinate with business leaders, tax, legal, and engineers to develop the program roadmap required to support new legislations. The candidate should have strong communication skills to work closely with stakeholders across multiple stores and functions, a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced landscape. This is a high visibility role across WW Director and VP groups at Amazon.
Key job responsibilities
- Initiate, define, plan and manage the roll out of the program features and enhancements based on the legislative changes in the EU Product Compliance space
- Create a Seller Engagement plan to collect compliance attributes from SPs on cross-border programs, as the EU will introduce 10+ new legislations in 2025
- Build Services to help sellers comply, leveraging zero-SP-touch compliance levers to de-risk the program across legislations
- Streamline Seller Experience (SX) for cross-border selection, using the Unified Services for Selling Partners (USSP) to provide contextual compliance services and minimize requirements asked from sellers at the right points of the selling journey.
- Own weekly and monthly reporting on the state of the initiatives you own. Utilize metrics to deep-dive into issues and uncover business-driving trends and patterns
- Drive adoption growth of rolled out solutions, assess open opportunities to further enhance Seller Experience and remove friction points.
- Measure Improvements and impact of changes and set-up mechanisms to audit impact and perform necessary course corrections where needed to meet business objectives
- Manage engagement with multiple stakeholders in US, China and EU including Tax, Legal, Operations, Tech, Seller Services and FBA.
- Build a compliance reporting setup and risk management mechanisms for existing and upcoming EU regulations (i.e., Low ASP customs exemption)
