EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in business administration, operations management, education, supply chain or transportation management.
  • Project Management or Lean Six Sigma certification required.
  • 5+ years development of curriculum/training programs.
  • 5+ years of experience within business operations.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), Work Instruction (WI), Client Work Instruction (CWI), instructional design methodology such as ADDIE.
  • Working understanding of MS Office Applications. (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook)
  • Experience with a CBT/LMS programs such as Success Factors
  • Experience with a document library system such as eDMS (Electronic Document Management System

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU DO?

As a team member of the Transportation Global Operational Excellence team, this position will build cross functional relationships within the Global Transportation team as well as with internal & external clients ensuring that operational excellence is achieved through Global TrackWise investigations, CAPA action process improvements, management of documentation refresh/employee training projects and consistent delivery of exceptional customer service. This will be achieved through facilitation, leading or collaborative initiatives internally as well as with our external partners that ensure an increased level of operational knowledge is developed and retained. This includes continual improvement efforts through identification of operational issues and the implementation standard processes. This position will support global operations by leading project teams through the development of scope applying project management methodologies as well as transfer and validation of new and/or improved processes related to global transportation activity.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct or assist with Global Trackwise (GTW) investigations, and CAPAs (Corrective and preventative action’s) applying strong problem-solving skills allowing you to gather and analyze data, identify patterns or trends, drawing meaningful conclusions all while identifying root cause and developing effective solutions.
  • Think critically and solve complicated problems through the identification and assessment of risks, developing mitigation strategies and implementing corrective actions by the timelines or due dates outlined within the Quality Management System.
  • Prepare detailed investigation reports, documenting findings, and effectively communicate with partners, carriers, suppliers, customers, and internal teams.
  • Act as functional approver when needed.
  • Work with clients to resolve any requested edits.
  • Analyze trends within the GTW system and establish projects or process improvements leading teams and/or partners to resolution.
  • Conduct instructional design sessions resulting in the completion of operational documentation revisions related to internal SOPs, work instructions, client work instructions, tech notes, job aids and checklists.
  • Apply instructional design principles such as ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) and adult learning principles to effectively design effective learning experiences and materials. Leverage technical writing skills that clearly and concisely communicates sophisticated information, the use of appropriate terminology following established templates and style guidelines.
  • Facilitate the creation of or develop curriculum, learning objectives and assessments that are aligned with instructional goals and objectives creating engaging and interactive learning materials, simulations, and assessments verbally, in a classroom setting or at operational huddle ups.
  • Evaluate and assess the effectiveness of instructional materials and learning experiences conducting formative and summative evaluations, analyzing learner feedback, and machining improvements based on evaluation results.
  • Identify gaps in current curriculum, facilitating the creation of or development of training material for global transportation operations across all service lines. Incorporate new technology into the training documentation portfolio once implemented. (TMS, RTTT, Shipment monitors, etc.) Have the flexibility to conduct training sessions during different time zones.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within the Electronic Document Management System (eDMS) adhering to version control. Gather appropriate content for user documentation through interviews and interaction with other team members and Global Transportation SMEs.
  • Lead projects identified as global operational process improvements and participate on cross functional teams that works towards resolving global transportation issues.
  • Propose process improvements based on trending analysis done both proactively and in response to negative trends.
  • Define project scope, goals and actions for cross-functional teams.
  • Define tasks and secure required resources, create and manage project timeline, and establish important metrics.
  • Other tasks and/or projects as assigned.
