We are looking for a strong leader to join the Digital Media team within Rogers Sports and Media as a Senior Project Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering project management excellence on key strategic initiatives through disciplined execution. The breadth and complexity of these projects cannot be understated. The successful candidate should be able to oversee the impacts, interdependencies and timelines between functional teams and work to ensure project initiatives meet the goals and objectives set forth by the senior and executive leadership teams. Please note this is a 1 year term assignment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of the digital product development lifecycle, including project scoping, resource assignment, project plan development, budget management, project tracking, monitoring, and reporting through the application of proven project management principles and methodologies.
  • Lead daily scrum team meetings and activities.
  • Develop and maintain all project documentation (Project Plans, Issue and Action Logs, Risk Management, Communication Plan, Status Reports, Post Implementation Reviews, etc).
  • Prepare thorough presentations and documentation for weekly Governance meetings.
  • Maintain regular interactions between Engineering, QA, and Product teams to ensure issues are resolved in a timely manner and release risks are met and effectively manner
  • Capex and Opex planning and reporting with team and stakeholders.
  • Identify benefits expected from initiatives and conduct post implementation reviews to report on and track results.
  • Pull together resources effectively to implement projects. Orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish objectives.
  • Use critical thinking skills to anticipate and manage potential risks that will arise. Communicate these to the stakeholders on a regular basis and ensure decisions are made quickly and effectively.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of templates, procedures, and processes as part of the continuous development of the Strategy, Data & Partnerships team.
  • Support Program Increment (PI) planning activities
