Description:

Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor (Aluminum and Façade - Post and Pre Contracts)
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team, with a focus on both post and pre-contracts for aluminum and façade projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing cost estimation, tendering, contract negotiation, project cost management, and ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to be involved in all stages of project delivery, from initial design and tendering to final project completion.
Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Contract Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation & Tender Preparation:
  • Develop accurate and detailed cost estimates for aluminum and façade works, covering materials, labor, overhead, and any specific site-related costs.
  • Prepare comprehensive tender documentation for aluminum and façade packages, ensuring alignment with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Work with the procurement and design teams to ensure that all requirements are addressed during the tender phase.
  • Tender Evaluation & Negotiation:
  • Review and assess tenders received from suppliers and subcontractors, evaluating bids to ensure competitiveness and alignment with project budgets.
  • Lead the negotiation process with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients, striving to achieve favorable terms for all parties.
  • Contract Preparation & Negotiation:
  • Collaborate with the legal team and senior management to prepare and negotiate contract terms with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure all contractual obligations are clear, reasonable, and achievable, with a strong emphasis on protecting the company’s interests.

Post-Contract Responsibilities:

  • Project Cost Management:
  • Monitor and manage project costs from inception to completion, ensuring budgets are adhered to and identifying opportunities for cost savings.
  • Provide accurate monthly reports, forecasts, and financial updates to the senior management team.
  • Subcontractor & Supplier Payments:
  • Certify subcontractor and supplier payments based on agreed contract terms, ensuring compliance with schedules and contracts.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all payments and financial approvals.
  • Risk & Value Management:
  • Conduct risk assessments and provide solutions for mitigating financial and operational risks.
  • Apply value engineering techniques to optimize project outcomes without compromising on quality, ensuring cost-effective solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Change Orders & Variations:
  • Manage and assess changes or variations during the project, ensuring that any adjustments are documented, evaluated, and approved in line with contractual terms.
  • Ensure proper communication with stakeholders regarding any changes and their impact on project costs and timelines.
  • Measurement & Valuations:
  • Prepare and update bills of quantities, interim valuations, and final account submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Conduct regular site measurements and assess any variations to the original scope of work, ensuring proper valuation adjustments are made.

Compliance & Reporting:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
  • Ensure all projects comply with local building codes, industry regulations, and contractual obligations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Financial Reporting:
  • Provide regular and detailed project financial reports to senior management and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accuracy.
  • Monitor project performance and provide advice on financial decision-making throughout the lifecycle.

Collaboration:

  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with project managers, design teams, and procurement departments to ensure smooth coordination across all project phases.
  • Foster positive relationships with architects, engineers, and clients, ensuring a clear understanding of project requirements, goals, and constraints.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong background in both pre and post-contracts for aluminum and façade works.
  • Proven experience managing cost estimation, tendering, and contract negotiation in the context of large-scale façade and aluminum projects.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: AED7,000.00 - AED15,000.00 per mont
