Sr Quantity Surveyor/ Contract Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in both pre and post-contract management, alongside substantial experience in the Civil Engineering and Aluminum & Glazing sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and successful project delivery in line with both client expectations and legal requirements.

KEY SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Degree or equivalent qualification in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional Qualifications: MRICS or similar professional body status is preferred but not essential.
• Experience: At least 10 years of experience in Quantity Surveying with a focus on Civil Engineering, Aluminum, and Glazing sectors.
• Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of construction contracts (JCT, NEC, FIDIC) and relevant legislation.
• Project Management: Proven experience in managing multiple contracts and projects simultaneously, with a demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and budget constraints.
• Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to work with clients, contractors, and project teams.
• Software Proficiency: Experience with Quantity Surveying software, such as CostX, Buildsoft, or similar.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to proactively address issues before they escalate.
