Job Description Summary: As a Research Operations Lead, you’ll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of research operations, ensuring the smooth execution of research studies and the efficiency of the research team. You’ll be a strategic partner to researchers, applying your expertise to optimize processes, cultivate a high-performing team, and ultimately elevate the quality and impact of research within the organization.

• Proven track record of leading and optimizing research processes.
• Strong understanding of research methodologies and best practices.
• Experience in managing and implementing research tools and technologies.
• Excellent project management, organizational, and budgeting skills.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Data-driven approach to problem-solving.

• In partnership with Research leaders, you will develop and implement a long-term vision for research operations that aligns with the organization’s research goals.
• Identify areas for improvement in research workflows and processes, and lead initiatives to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with researchers to understand their needs and ensure research operations support their success.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and maintenance of research tools and technologies. This could include survey platforms, participant recruitment tools, data analysis software, and research project management tools.
• Develop and document clear research protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and best practices.
• Ensure research activities comply with all ethical and regulatory guidelines.
• Partner with a research operations professional, providing coaching and guidance to ensure they have the skills and resources to excel as well as continue to develop participant recruitment program.
• Foster a collaborative and supportive research environment that promotes open communication and continuous learning.
• Manage research operations budgets, ensuring efficient allocation of resources.
• Partner with the VP of Research to forecast, plan and track team resourcing.
• In partnership with Experience Measurement, establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of research operations initiatives.
• Analyze research data and generate reports to measure the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of research activities.
• Communicate research operations metrics and insights to stakeholders.
