Description:

SUMMARY:

Responsible in the installation, testing and troubleshooting of network infrastructure in expanding wired and wireless networks.
Primarily operating out of the New England area, but occasional travel outside of this area is expected. May include overnight as well as work on other shifts or weekends and overtime as necessary to stay on schedule.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience installing DAS or In-Building Cellular Systems.
  • Experience installing repeaters, amplifiers of similar equipment, Fusion Splicing, 1/4’” or larger coax, sweep testing coax and fiber and hands-on experience with Cat5/Fiber/Coax.
  • Previous experience using OTDR, Spectrum Analyzer (Anritsu) Signal Generator, PIM and similar test equipment.
  • Strong background with RF theory.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record.
  • Be a motivated team player willing to learn, be punctual, and able to prioritize tasks
  • Experience in the Wireless industry is an asset.

Responsibilities:

  • Candidate will be responsible for installation and upgrade of new and existing cellular sites, including but not limited to DAS, Small Cell, Fiber Optic, CCI, SIAD and Transport in the New England area.
  • Provide technical support in implementing, maintaining and troubleshooting existing equipment.
  • Provide technical support for upgrades and new equipment installs.
  • Ensure reliability of equipment and services through various means of monitoring and testing
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly scheduled and maintenance tasks.
  • Prepare professional looking as-build and close-out documentation.
  • Identify and investigate problems for corrective action.
  • Provide detailed logs of all issues and keep an inventory of all equipment.
  • Ensure necessary diagnostic and troubleshooting tools are available and in working order.
