The Sr Server Systems Administrator at NCRi/CXAi is responsible for supervising the operation of a computer network of the organization and makes sure that servers function properly, that will allow both the employees and clients to communicate with each other, coordinate actions needed and look after essential tasks. This role requires a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and the ability to troubleshoot complex systems in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. This position will require onsite presence with the opportunity to work at home occasionally. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

Core Responsibilities (include, but not limited too)

  • Manage and configure Cisco UCS servers, and other server platforms
  • Manage and configure VMware vSphere, VCenter, VSAN platforms.
  • Manage and configure Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows DNS / BIND / Named / Active Directory / Group Polices / LDAP / RADIUS
  • Manage and configure Linux Server and Desktop platforms
  • Manage and configure Storage platforms
  • Manage and configure Office 365 and other cloud-based technologies
  • Respond quickly to security or usability concerns
  • Anticipate potential problems and taking action to solve them before they impact users when possible
  • Test new software, review application logs, and monitor infrastructure management platforms.
  • Design, document, plan and execute systems upgrades, patches, etc. as required.
  • Ensure continuous delivery of services through oversight of service level agreements with end users and monitoring of systems performance

REQUIREMENTS:

  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science related course, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving operational experience in a fast pasted hybrid Server infrastructure environment.
  • At least 5+ years working experience with Cisco UCS, Dell, or HP server technologies, VMware, Microsoft Server 2016 or above, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
  • Solid demonstrated understanding and operational working knowledge of complete systems development and deployment lifecycle and of all facets of systems administration in a large-scale IT operations unit
  • Strong and demonstrated operational working administration and configuration knowledge of Cisco UCS servers
  • Strong and demonstrated operational working administration and configuration knowledge of VMware, vSphere, VCenter, VSAN
  • Strong and demonstrated operational working administration and configuration knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Windows 10/11
  • Demonstrated operational administration working and configuration knowledge of Windows DNS / BIND / Named / Active Directory / LDAP
  • Demonstrated operational administration working and configuration knowledge of Linux platforms
  • Demonstrated operational administration working and configuration knowledge of Office 365 and other cloud-based technologies
  • Demonstrated working administration and configuration knowledge of storage technologies
  • Knowledge of Zabbix and asset
  • Knowledge of SolarWinds technologies an asset
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis when troubleshooting potential system
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Exceptionally self-motivated and directed
  • Full time position with shared On Call rotation.
