WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
We are looking for a Senior Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) with a passion to plan, design and build topologies, tools, and automation in maintaining our hybrid on-prem and cloud environment. As a Senior SRE, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and implementation of solutions for the business and operations to eliminate toil, reduce risk and accelerate the productivity of DevOps teams with a very strong emphasis on automation. You will work alongside other Site Reliability Engineers and Software Developers to help transition to cloud-native and infrastructure as code. This fast-paced environment will provide you with the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for large-scale networks and network automation.
The Skills You Bring:
- Experience working in a hybrid environment with both on-premise and cloud resources
- Experience working with containers (Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, etc.)
- Experience with configuring & deploying Windows and Linux-based systems
- An understanding of networking and core Internet protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, TLS, SMTP, HTTP)
- Experience developing in at least one of the following languages: Go, C#, Java, Node.js, Python, etc.
- Experience with public cloud providers (AWS, Azure, etc.) is a must
- Able to compose CI-CD pipelines (Jenkins or Gitlab CI, AWS Code Pipeline, etc.)
- Knowledge of DevOps related practices such as CI/CD, Canary Pushes/ Blue-Green deployments, Software Defined Infrastructure, and tools, etc.
- Excellent communication skill
Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-7 years of experience working in an enterprise environment
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in related IT or engineering field
- An equivalent combination of education and related experience may also serve to meet these minimum requirement
Desired Qualifications:
- Hands-on Docker or Kubernetes experience
- Brokerage/trading platform experience
- AWS/Azure Knowledge
- Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) Knowledg
Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, deploy, maintain, and support automation processes and technologies
- Design and implement infrastructure as code strategies for on-premise and cloud environments
- Perform root cause analysis of infrastructure issues and develop strategies for preventative and permanent solutions
- Work with the engineering and operations teams to create effective technologies and processes that eliminate manual toil and improve efficiency and reliability
- Research and provide tools to DevOps teams to improve their infrastructure and security
- Automate processes and implementations
- Assist in the implementation of infrastructure as code
- Create reusable cloud native reference architectures and templates
- Eliminate duplicate effort across teams by automating common tasks
- Gather technical requirements to ensure project success
- Create implementation and testing plans
- Train staff to implement and administer solution
- Work within a team environment
